The Shimano Ultegra Di2 FD-R8150 Front Derailleur
The electronic front derailleur FD-R8150 for the Ultegra 2x12-speed road bike groupset by Shimano has a more compact design than its predecessor and is therefore even more aerodynamic. With a total capacity of 16 teeth, large chainrings with a maximum of 50 to 52 teeth can be shifted, whereby the shifting speed has been increased enormously compared to before. The front derailleur is compatible with a 44.5mm chain line and is designed for braze-on mounting. With the help of a suitable adapter, it is also possible to mount a clamp on the frame. It is connected to the battery via a cable, which in turn is also connected to the rear derailleur and possibly the STIs. Of course, the FD-R8150 has the tried and tested synchro and semi-synchro shift function, which enables automated interaction with the rear derailleur and thus makes shifting easier for you. The inner parallelogram and the guide plates of the derailleur are made of steel, the outer parallelogram is made of aluminum to save weight.

The Shimano Ultegra DI2 RD-R8150 Rear Derailleur
The 12-speed rear derailleur RD-R8150 is the central element of the Shimano Ultegra Di2 road bike group when it comes to semi-wireless and fully wired shifting. It has even more to do than a conventional rear derailleur, because with the disc brake version it communicates wirelessly with the shift / brake levers via the built-in wireless chip. In the rim brake variant with a cable connection to the STIs, it is responsible for coupling the components. This is done via a function key, which is also used to set the rear derailleur. You can also use the button to check the battery level, change the switching mode from manual to synchro and semi-synchro shift and establish a Bluetooth connection to a bike computer or smartphone. An LED display will help you with this. The rear derailleur is connected to the battery via a cable, from which a cable also runs to the front derailleur and, if necessary, to the STIs. It has a charging connection through which you can easily recharge your circuit with the help of the appropriate charging cable. In racing and training use, the RD-R8150 impresses with its extremely high switching speed, which significantly exceeds that of its predecessor. Its flat shadow design reduces the risk of getting stuck and optimizes switching behavior.

The Shimano Ultegra CS-R8100 12-Speed Cassette
The CS-R8100 is the first cassette from Shimano's Ultegra road bike series that has 12 sprockets. It is characterized by the Hyperglide + technology, which was initially tested in the MTB area and ensures seamless gear changes even under high loads. Even when kicking out of the saddle or sprinting, you can shift gear safely and immediately. The gradations were chosen so that there is a high level of gait efficiency in all situations and you accelerate optimally. The enlarged teeth of the pinion also contribute to this. A special plus point is the compatibility: CS-R8100 not only fits the new 12-speed freewheel body, but can also be used with conventional Shimano Road freewheel bodies. All gear rims are made of steel, with two light aluminum pinion carriers being used.

Shimano Ultegra RT-CL800 Ice-Tech Disc Brake Rotor
Shimano developed the RT-CL800 Center Lock brake disc specifically for the Ultegra BR-R8170 roadbike disc brake. It is also very suitable for GRX gravel brakes. Apart from that, it is also compatible with numerous brake calipers from the MTB segment. The brake disc is constructed in a sandwich composite with an aluminum layer between two stainless steel layers. Thanks to Ice-Technologies FREEZA, it provides excellent heat dissipation, even on steep, long descents. In addition, the design has been optimized with regard to the lowest possible noise and the lowest possible weight.

The Shimano Di2 BT-DN300 Battery
The BT-DN300 is a lithium-ion battery that Shimano developed for the Dura-Ace and Ultegra Di2 2x12-speed road groupsets. Like its predecessor, it is installed internally in the frame, typically in the seat post. It has three connections and supplies all electronic components with power via the thin EW-SD300 power cable (not included): the rear derailleur, the front derailleur and, with a fully wired set-up, the two shift / brake levers. Unlike earlier models, the BT-DN300 does not have its own charging socket, but is charged via the switching mechanism. In addition, it is not Bluetooth-enabled. The nominal voltage of the battery is 7.4 volts, the nominal capacity 500 mAh. A full charge takes up to 1.5 hours if the charging cable is connected to a power supply unit with a USB connection, or up to 3 hours if it is connected to the USB port of a computer. Once charged, you can drive your circuit for approx. 1000 km. Blind plugs and small parts required for installation are included.

The Shimano Di2 EW-SD300-I Power Cable
EW-SD300-I is a power cable from Shimano for internal routing in the frame, which was developed with regard to the Dura-Ace and Ultegra Di2 12-speed racing bike gears and the MU-UR510 e-bike motor unit. It is 0.4 mm thinner than the previous EW-SD50 cable, which saves weight and has optical advantages. There is a plug on both sides which, with a diameter of 3.45 mm, is also much slimmer than before. Electrical signals are exchanged at lightning speed between the rear derailleur, battery, front derailleur and, if necessary, the STIs. Di2 shift levers for time trials and triathlons that require the old cable can be connected to the EW-SD300-I using a conversion adapter.
