This Sheet Material measures 580mm by 2400mm. It comes as a sheet of 5mm thick non-absorbent EVA foam material. It can be custom cut to your specific needs using a sharp razor knife. Another great feature is that the entire sheet is backed with a pressure-sensitive adhesive that allows for an easy peel-and-stick application. Customize the look of your boat while adding function. The padding looks good and is comfortable, non-skid, acts as an anti-fatigue mat and has sound-dampening characteristics. About the color :
If you buy more than two pieces of boat deck mats and find that there is a color difference please try to turn one of them horizontally by 180 degrees, you will find that the reason for the color difference is because the direction is not right. The surface of the boat deck mat adopts the " hair grabbing" process, the tiny "fluff" makes people step on it more comfortably, but at the same time will make the light refraction, that's why different angles will have different colors.
About splicing :
If you buy two or more pieces and need to splice them
together, it is recommended to use glue ( EVA adhesive ) to splice
the two pieces together before installation, which can avoid gaps.
Tools needed for installation :
Alcohol or cleaner, spatula, scraper,
clean cloth, pencil, roller, ruler, masking tape, film
( for copying the outline of the boat floor ), and marine adhesive.
Regarding the adhesive of deck mats :
Our boat deck mats have adhesive on the back, peel off the film on the back to use. The adhesive for deck mats is suitable for most boat decks, aluminum, fiberglass reinforced plastic, gel-coated board, PP, PVC, and wood all work very well. Please clean the deck carefully before installation, dust and other foreign matter will affect the performance of the adhesive, if your deck is not flat, it is recommended to buy a marine adhesive to use with it, in any case, this will make the boat deck mat more solid.
Installation step
1, Remove the boat deck mat from the package, lay it flat on the workbench, press it down with a suitable weight, and let it sit for 24 hours.
2, Prepare film and pencil, and draw the shape of the deck.
3, Cover the drawn film to the surface of the boat deck mat, and
cut out the desired shape with a squeegee.
4, Clean the boat deck, and make sure there
is no foreign substance left, make sure the
boat deck has been completely dry before installation.
5, Tear off the corner of the adhesive backing film of the
boat deck mats, and stick it to the corresponding position, while pressing with your hand, slowly tear the film away, if there are
two people to help, it will make this job easier. ( Adding additional marine adhesive will be more solid and needs to be purchased separately )
6, Use a roller to roll each corner of the boat floor mat to ensure all air is expelled.
Maintenance after installation :
★ Clean with clean water, please do not use
corrosive cleaners to clean the boat deck floor mats.
★ If there is fish blood, red wine, or other colored
liquid, please clean it with water and a rag in time.
★ Please do not apply sharp pressure to the surface of the boat deck
mat, which may cause irreversible damage. ( Such as ladies' high heels )
★ The maximum temperature that the boat deck mats can withstand is 70 degrees Celsius, exceeding this temperature will damage the internal structure of the material and may cause shrinkage.
★ Please check if there are any focusing objects on the boat, glass focusing sunlight
will produce high temperature and may cause damage to the boat deck mats.
